Jokai Botanical Garden


Jokai Botanical Garden is located 12 km south of the main town of Dibrugarh. It covers an area of around 1.2 hectares of land in the Jokai Reserved Forest. There is a storehouse of germplasm of the various endangered species of plants and flowers, set up by the forest department. It is also a hotspot for all the bird lovers. Some of the birds that are seen here are Small Niltava, Green Pigeons, Black-winged and Large Cuckoo-shrikes, Little Pied Flycatcher, Red headed Trogon, Ruby Cheeked Sunbird, Scarlet Backed Flowerpecker, Crimson Sunbird, Jay-walking Emerald Dove and Black breasted Thrush.
